The residences of Hazard and Perry county want our water plant and water lines updated so that we don't have to go 10 days or more without water again next winter like we did this year. Schools had to be closed not to mention the familys that had no water. We could not bathe ourselfs, our children, wash our clothes, wash our dishes or flush our toilets not to mention cooking.

    • It is a disgrace that Perry County, KY residents have to be submitted to such as atrosity in these modern times. I am ashamed to admit that I live in a county with such bad water problems that people have to go for ten days with no way to bath, cook, or even to flush toilets. The health department should be parked at Mayor Gorman's door!!!

    • I can't believe that the City of Hazard announced on the radio that they were supplying water to the residents of Perry County. In reality, the residents of Perry County were told that they could go to their local fire station only and pick up two one-gallon jugs of water per family. Other than that, we had to buy tons of water from stores to cook with and drink. We had to carry water from anywhere we could get it to flush toilets or leave them unflushed for ten days. I can't believe our great Commonwealth of Kentucky allows the City of Hazard to force it's residents to live in filth.
