Headland is a new Australian drama that premiered on the Seven Network Australia November 15 2005. It has a very loyal fan base that was growing steadily until the decision was made to stick it into the Saturday night timeslot. Not surprisingly, the ratings once again dropped and 2 days after it started on that ridiculous timeslot, it was officially axed. Now 7 are saying that not only has production been halted, but that it's being removed from our screens indefinitely.
The purpose of this petition is to (hopefully) convince 7 to give Headland one more chance, but failing that to air the remaining episodes to give its audience some sort of closure.

    • Please reconsider ....Headland was slowly gaining a loyal fan-base ....surely these fans deserve to at least see the remaining episodes ,rather than it just be taken off air with so many unfinished stories and cliffhangers!!!

    • A statement from Channel Seven says "We still believe in the show, and "we think it deserves a chance," and also that Seven plans to rework the already filmed but unscreened episodes" As a viewer , I agree the show does need a fair go,it's scheduling has been all over the place since it started from 2 nights a week,to 3 nights a week, then 4 nights a week, we were given to understand that it would continue as a companion show to Home and Away when it returned for 2006,but that never happened,I would like to know what they mean by "reworking,"

    • At first Headland was a bit slow, but now I love it! I think it's fresh and new, with a great cast and lovely setting. It's so interesting and keeps you watching until the end. Please screen the rest of the episodes and keep on filming!!
