We, the concerned citizens of the United States, petition the United States House of Representatives and Senate to take the adequate time necessary to develop,test,and amend the 2009 Health Care Reform Bill. We demand that NO government mandate forces citizens to use a government health care option and that adequate time is used to research and develop the BEST health care options for ALL Americans.

- We need real, meaningful health reforms with cost containment measures and new mandated competition via antitrust rules and a strong public option. We also need to make MediCare and MediCaid more financially solvent and continue SCHIP the State Children Health Insurance Program a national public health insurance program for American kids -- health reform should not lead to the discontinuation of SCHIP at any time -- under the House bill that passed it seems SCHIP would be discontinued by 2013 and in the Senate bill SCHIP would be discontinued by 2019. Healthcare reform legislation should not cancel out SCHIP at all it should maintain this critical public program for children especially those under the poverty line to have affordable health insurance -- they should not be forced into being covered by private insurers. We need a public insurance exchange with a public option competing with private insurers not health reforms that maintain the status quo and allow for profit private insurers to continue to de
