In 1961 Utahs Lagoon Theme Park installed an attraction called the IQ Zoo. In 1967 The IQ Zoo evolved into Animal Land, which is more recently called The Wild Kingdom Train. This attraction is a train that is driven around a series of cages that contain animals such as, Siberian Tigers, a Jaguar, Cougars, a Brown Bear, Zebra, Llamas, Golden Eagle, Camels, Miniature Donkey, Kangaroo, Fallow Deer, Rocky Mountain Elk, Emus, Ostrich and Buffalo. These Animals spend their lives in cages unfit for them to live comfortably. Their cage environment fails to resemble anything they would encounter in their natural habitats. Lagoon theme parks main attraction is its roller coasters and water park, the Wild Kingdom Train has faded into the background of Lagoon Theme Park as has the love for these Animals. These animals spend their lives merely to amuse the few people at lagoon who take the time to stop and admire the majestic creatures of our earth.

Our goal is to relocate these animals to a zoo more fit to each animals needs. A zoo thats main focus is towards the Animals. Each individual animal should matter, each should get the devoted attention it deserves in captivity. We need your help to make a brighter healthier future for these animals. So please support us by signing this petition. These animals deserve to be in a place where they will be treated respectfully and appreciated for all that they are.

    • My kids and I felt so sad for the animals, it completely put a dark cloud over our lagoon experience. The animals looked stressed and anxious. The ostrich had an egg it was desperately trying to protect, but had nowhere to go but more cement. Horrible, horrible that these majestic animals would be treated this way for our amusement. We will not ever visit lagoon again until something is done.
