We, the Undersigned users of the T-Mobile Sidekick, wish to request a review of recent decisions relating to ringtone/email functionality. The August 27, 2003 (v1.1) T-Mobile Sidekick Owners Manual (found at http://help.sidekick.dngr.com/OwnersManual.pdf ) indicates that "If you receive a message containing an audio file that is a .midi, .wav, .aiff, or .rmf format and is less than 100K in size, you will be able to play the attachment and save it as a ringtone." However, the ability to save these attachments as ringtones has been disabled in the production release of the v1.1 update to T-Mobile customers. We make no speculation as to the motives behind the disabling of this functionality, understanding that there are often many technical, political, and financial reasons that justify any business's decisions which go unseen by the end users, and instead respectfully ask that you reconsider the decision in light of our request for the feature, signified by our attached signatures.

- The alienation of your target demographic cannot possibly be worth the 1 or 2 dollars you might get from a fraction of your remaining customers.

- You would sell more units with this feature than you will make $1 per ringtone

- Was the only reason it was removed so that you could in turn sell ringtones instead of letting us get them ourselves? Noone wants to deal with a stingy company. Hopefully other providers will carry the sidekick with this funtion enabled so we will have an option to switch to a provider that cares more about customer service than making a quick buck.

- I would really like to see this feature implemented on the Tmobile sidekick. Its sad that it was taken away after seeing in the Owners Manual that it would be a future feature

- I am very unhappy with it, this would at least make it appear as though I was not totally ripped off. I should have waited for the Treo 600
