Dismiss All Pending Cases of Federal Defendants Who Were Following State Medical Marijuana Law

We, the undersigned, ask you move to dismiss all pending cases of federal defendants who were following state medical marijuana laws, including those who have not yet gone to trial, and those who are still in the appeal process, such that their conviction is not final. If by the time you read this, any of these defendants have had their appeal run their course, please submit their name(s) to President Barack Obama and urge him to pardon them. Here is the list of federal defendants charged with following state medical marijuana law that we urge you to move to dismiss:

People arrested before the Supreme Court ultimately decided the commerce clause issue in Gonzalez v. Raich, 545 U.S. 1 (2005):

Bryan Epis, David Davidson, Dr. Mollie Fry and Dale Schafer who are being prosecuted in the Eastern District of California at Sacramento.

Post-Raich Cases:

Eddy Lepp, Ken Hayes, Shon Matthew Squier and Valerie Lynn Herschel, who are being prosecuted in the Northern District of California at San Francisco.

Steele Smith, Theresa Smith, Alexander Valentine and Dennis Lalonde, who are being prosecuted at the Ronald Reagan Federal Building in Santa Ana, CA.

Brian Everett, Winslow Norton and Abraham Norton, who are being prosecuted at the Oakland, CA Federal Building.

Gordon Rasmussen, Michael Lombardo, Louis Wayne Fowler and Gary Hulsey, who are being prosecuted in the Eastern District of California at Sacramento.

Charles Lynch, Ronald Naulls, Virgil Grant, Pshyra Grant, Stanley Jerome Cole and John Seidenberg, who are being prosecuted in Los Angeles in the Southern District of California.

John Wyatt, John Shanks, Israel Cavazos, Jonathon Chaptman, Timothy Doolittle and Jennifer Brown, who are being prosecuted in Fresno in the Eastern District of California

Time is of the essense. Please immediately move to dismiss these cases, as per the new "American Policy" to not prosecute those who were complying with state medical marijuana laws.
