Home Education should be publically known and considered as a valid alternative way of educating children. Parents should have government and general public support including free access to standard national exams and resources should be freely accessible if required. Parents are best placed to know and choose the way their children should be educated. More recognition and support should be available to parents concerning home education while at the same time parents should be free from interference from government officials. Thus, leading up to the next election, this matter should be on the education agenda and taken seriously as there are an ever increasing number of families home educating.

    • I fully support any parent who wishes to home school. Each parent has his her own reason for needed home schooling and it is not usually a rejection of State Sponsored Education. Please give praents the right to educate thier children in the way that they believe to be best.

    • I'm not a teacher myself, but of those children I know who are being homeschool and fare far better than in the state school system. Their learning process and stats results a far higher than in the State School system.
