Petition Title : BRING LAURIE HOME
To : Consolate General of the United States, Visa Unit
P.O. Box 65, Postal Station Desjardins
Montreal, Quebec Canada H5B 1G1
E-Mail: MONTREAL-IV-DV@ STATE.GOV
From : Edward L. White (petitioner)
Laurie L. White (beneficiary)
Regarding;
Case# MTL2007749012 National Visa Center
And
Receipt #WAC-07-105-50170 (USCIS)
And from all those whose signature appears on this Petition, and who support and agree with the following ;
On or about 6 February 2008, Laurie L. White, The beneficiary of an approved
I-130-Immigrant Petition For Relative of a U.S. Citizen, Was Denied entry back into the United States. We the undersigned believe She should be allowed to return immediately, without further delay, and at no expense to the Government or people of the United States of America, to her home. To her husband, her family and her friends, and not least of all her dog, who also misses her very much. And upon returning home that she be allowed to resume the process of legally becoming a permanent resident of the United States of America, unencumbered by her alleged attempt to enter the United States Illegally.
Her apparently illegal and unauthorized travel outside of the United States, was precipitated by the tragic and untimely death of her father. Her father, Lawrence Parsons, was recently elected mayor of the town of Lumsden, Newfoundland, Canada. Also my wifes hometown. In the early morning hours of February 1st, 2008, Lauries 42nd birthday. We were notified of the accident. The details of this incident can be found online at http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/02/02/tug-sinking.html. I would encourage anyone signing this petition to read this story. The people of Newfoundland are among the best in the world, ask anyone who was forced to spend some time there on 9/11 and the days that followed.
We the signers of this petition further assert that any additional delay in Lauries return home represents an unfair and unjust punitive action, incorrectly applied to an individual in the process of legally immigrating to the United States, and that the result of her inability to return home has created a significant hardship for Laurie L. White and her family.
We the signers of this petition also request that, If no compassion exists for this type of situation, current Immigration law and enforcement policies be amended and or changed, so that those who desire to immigrate legally are not penalized for those who dont.
This Petition is sincerely and respectfully submitted by;

- I have known and have been friends with Laurie over 20 years. I would like to see her go home to her husband,her dog, friends and her volunteer work.She is a good person.I think this is utterly rediculous and a waste of time in refusing her entrance back into the USA to her family as she is a lawful immigrant and married to a US citizen.

- Due to the nature of Laurie having to travel back to Canada ,I feel she should not be penalized for human compassion and a Family death.I think the government should focus on real issues and not something as minor as this.I think the USgovernment should show some compassion.

- I went to California in January of this year on vacation for a few weeks. My friends and I stayed at my cousin Laurie's for almost a week during that time. She volunteers her days to help save animals since she cannot legally work in the U.S. right now. It's just CRAZY !!! that she can't be allowed to get back to her "LIFE" in America because of this delay. It's been almost two months since she has been denied access back to her home. A closer look at this case from officials is much needed and i hope this matter is resolved quicker than it has been taking.

- life is so unfair, to be dealt with one blow of loosing her father so tragically and than dealt another blow, not able to return home to be comfort for her loss by her husband and family and friends is a disgrace against us Canadians when something like this happens. In my heart I truly believe that Mrs. Laurie White should be allowed to go home to be with her husband where she can moure the lost of her father in the comfort of her husbands arms!!!!!!!!

- Laurie has suffered the loss of her father two months ago and the loss of her mother eight years ago. She MUST be allowed to return to her home in the USA, so she can move on with her life in her own home with her good husband. Please allow my sister-in-law to go home!
