Dear Steve Jobs:

We, the loyal Apple customers who own the first generation iPhones, urge Apple to do the appropriate thing and support its early adopters by instituting an iPhone upgrade or "Buyback" program. The contours could be quite simple -- existing 8GB iPhone owners could trade their 1st generation phones in for a 3G phone for $200 (assuming that the 3G phone retails at $400). This would bring the 3G iPhone price down to the level of the rumored ATT new subscriber price. It is only fair that those of us who cast our lot with the iPhone in its first year be given a reasonable deal for upgrading our iPhones. Respectfully yours,

Your biggest fans

    • I have already purchased 2 Iphones. I couldn't trade in my first one. It only seems fair I be given some incentive to stay with Iphone. I am a loyal fan, I just need some alternative to paying full price for a 3rd Iphone when I would never use my current Iphone 3G again
