PETA (People for the Ethnical Treatment of Animals) is an organization that "protects the rights of animals." What does this mean? According to PETA, having any contact with animals is abuse. Animals should not be kept as pets, should not be used in entertainment (circuses, rodeos, ect...), and should not be used for food or anything else. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm all for animal abuse being stopped, but PETA goes way too far. They lie on their website (http://www.peta.org). As an example of PETA lying, apparently, my uncle with the UniverSoul Circus has been forcing his tigers to jump through flaming hoops and perform "unnatural tricks out of fear", and according to them they dress monkeys up to look like people and tie them to the backs of frightened ponies who gallop around the ring. I have been to this circus numerous times, and first off, they DO NOT even have monkeys or ponies, and second, the tigers don't do any tricks. They simply sit in cages and look cute for about 5 minutes 2-3 times a day. Now tell me, if the tigers really didn't like "performing" (if you can call it that), then why do they willingly go into the cages for the magic act? In my opinion, PETA needs to be stopped. They scare children by passing out "unhappy meals" with plastic toy animals covered in red paint to look like blood at McDonalds, they picket in front of any public attraction that has animals in it and harass people involved with them, have been known to release dogs at shows so that they don't "suffer" any more (one of the dogs they released ran out and got hit by a car and PETA was happy because it "died free"), and to quote a very "respectable" person involved with PETA, "I would be happy if it came to the United States" (referring to Mad Cow Disease). The purpose of this petition is to have PETA stopped, or at least have them tone down their protests and realize that they are doing more harm than good. PETA is not all about animal rights. Not only all that, of about 2,100 animals that PETA "rescued" last year, they killed over 1,300 of them, which is hypocritical on their part.
If you believe that PETA is wrong in what they do, say, and believe, please sign this petition. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me at [email protected]
or [email protected]
Thank you for your time. It is greatly appreciated.
Note: I have proof of everything that I said above. If you do not believe me and would like proof of anything, please feel free to email me. I would be happy to scan pictures of the tigers in their "cramped cages where they barely have enough room to turn around."
A copy of this petition will be sent to PETA, along with various newspapers, television stations, and other types of media.
