Dear the Honorable Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.

We are requesting the State of Maryland to donate a parcel of land in Annapolis for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a memorial in honor and memory of the over 250 men and women in law enforcement who gave their lives protecting the citizens of Maryland.

There are over 32 states which honor their fallen Law Enforcement Officers by way of a memorial and hope Maryland can be added to the growing list.

This is the least that we, as citizens of this great State, can do for those who have unselfishly given their lives.

    • I wholeheartedly support this for our Police Officers. What a dangerous and lofty postion they hold. Certainly this is much needed and well deserved.

    • Please do this in the name of the Maryland Police . It's the least we can do for our heroes right here in our own back yard.

    • This memorial would help recognize the men and women who died protecting the people of their state. It would be wonderful for their families to have their loved ones be known to all.

    • As a widow of a fallen NJ officer living in MD, I truly realize the meaning of a police memorial for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Please see it in your heart to pass this legislation and make the MD Police Memorial a reality!

    • I'm retired thank goodness, but I have a husband that is a SWAT supervisor with 3 years to go. I hope I never have to be a "survivor", but should that happen I would pray to have somewhere to go and reflect. And as a retired member I do not go a day without remembering my brothers and sisters that payed the ultimate price to protect me, my family,my community. Please help to remember them also. Thank you
