  • I' switched to Ubuntu and glass+blur+compiz effects work like a charm so intel stop screwing your customers, compiz got more effects than aero will never have and you are saying to us that aero is not supported? OMG close down your company useless people.

  • guys i couldnt wait so long for something that will not happen so i sold my laptop and bought a new one, not in a store but second hand, now i have win 7 rtm + aero working finaly, please dear friends do not hope to much, intel will never release any driver for that chipset, never, even if this petition goes to 1 million people, so reconsider it and just make some ecnomy and then move on, i know its to bad, i was so frustrated about aero and 3d eyecandy,now im happy, good luck

  • I did it, i just bought a new notebook without any intel composant in it, you lost already 1 customer, me, if not alot of others...bye bye poor intel, oh and don't forget the big fat gyu on intel video saying its a hardware scheduler missing feature, i hope you loose your job poor developer

  • guys you can use border skin to have glass, check it here: http://www.joejoe.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=19204&st=0 i only had an issue with vista but all the themes work and you got glass effects on vista basic theme! just wait for the 2.4 version to cover the whole basic theme layout, in meantime you can use all the other themes except the EXPLORER one, enjoy it!

  • My laptop cost over 1000 (Sony Viao FJ1Z/W) just before Vista was released, unable to run Aero. This is just not good enough Intel, we as the consumer do not have enough cash to throw old Laptops away because they can't run the latest OS.

  • I am starting this petition because Intel has stated that they will not release "vista premium" drivers for the i910/915 chipset, citing Microsoft design incompatibilities. The chipset described above is the most popular on laptop computers today and by not making decent drivers that support AERO, millions of users will not be upgrading to Vista, or will be left with a lesser experience. Intel calls their drivers "vista ready", but even vista DVD maker and Vista movie maker refuse to run on these "vista ready" drivers.

  • intel not making these drivers when quite a few of the system settings allow for something called max DVMT which changes it from 128mb of vram to a percentage of your installed ram is just silly, i can use 192mb of ram as vram which is more than sufficient according to the microsoft specs for Aero

  • Hopeless Intel 915G\GV\910GL has spoiled their image by not supporting Aero.The company should b e dumped off IF IMMEDIATELY THEY DON 'T RELEASE AERO COMPATIBLE DRIVER UPDATE. Intel should go to hell.

  • This chipset is installed on a lot of laptops currently out there that are capable of running Windows Vista/7 therefore it is in your best interests to issue an updated driver to enable Aero and Glass. If you do not you will alienate a lot of potential future customers who will remember your lack of support and turn to AMD in future purchases.

  • The petition is appropriate and justified in many ways.On one hand Microsoft is showing that 910/915 chipsets can produce AERO graphics, provided with updated drivers, on other hand, Intel said it won't produce any upgrades for these which are among the most used chipsets in the world, by doing so, they have thrown a boomerang which will eventually hurt themselves. Shame on you Intel. We want updated drivers.So make it.

  • I have a Gateway Mx6650! It ran vista fine! Windows 7? Terrible!!!! JUST UPDATE THE DRIVER, IT WILL RUN AERO PERFECTLY FINE!!!
