As you can see, more and more schools are now adopting one of the most hated practices of formal education, having a dress code. Individuality and freedom of expression is vital, so we can truly identify ourselves and could easily display our own sense of our own personality. Being told otherwise and asked to be in uniform with everyone around you doesnt make it easier to display each and every persons uniqueness. No more I Love NY shirts. No more baggy jeans. Each student will now have to buy bland polo shirts and pants when they could have saved money and wore their clothes from last year, and perhaps even spent their money on some clothes they would like. Clothes have always been an important way to express ourselves, and they are going to take that away from the pupils of I.S.25. What happened to the I.S.25 that dazzled with individuality? Now, even has a new gym uniform that would match the dress code! And we would have to spend more money on THAT. If you are an I.S.25 student who is against the dress code and wants to stand up for their beliefs, it would be wise to sign this petition. Remember, one signature CAN make a difference!

    • I completely agree with this petition. I think it's wrong to tell students what they can and can't wear. Considering the fact that the 7th graders last year didn't break the dress code.

    • The students of I.S.25 had a freedom of what to wear in school and were perfectly okay with that but now with the uniform the students never had a voice to change it. Some families don't have the money to go out and buy clothing when they have perfectly fine clothing already.

    • We're just going to watse our money on this. Our school faculty should try improving more important parts of IS.25. Or at least we should just have a real uniform that we all have to wear instead of having to now buy a whole new wardrobe

    • the school dress code is a really bad idea especially since not all the kids are going to be following it! The faculty should focus more on our education then what we wear! Also, id prefer having an actual uniform then having to buy a whole new wardrobe.
