We believe the New South Wales government should prioritise the building of a state school and high school in the Rhodes area to accommodate an expected influx of 12,000 people - including more than 2000 expected students.
This should be announced as soon as possible and included in the 2011-12 state budget.

- We need to have more facilities in this area. If our children grow up in this great area they should be able to be educated in it.

- It's as simple as this; if there's no school(s) built, where will the children go? The majority of surrounding schools have already reached capacity.

- There is not adequate land to build further classrooms at Concord West and still allow adequate play area for each child. Another school facility is required. If Newington Public School was built for 8000 residents surely 12000 new residents need a school too.

- It is imperative that there be schools built to accomodate the children of the families moving into this area. Concord West Public and North Strathfield Public are at capacity now. The govt HAS to act to provide a new area for school aged students moving into the Rhodes district. It is wrong and unfair to squeeze 2000 extra kids into surrounding schools. These surrounding schools are just not big enough to double or triple in enrolments.

- You can`t continue to flood an area with people without proper infrastructure. Class sizes are already too big in this and surrounding areas, and yet the government allows further increases in the population. Our childern's education will be hampered further once this additional development is complete as the class sizes will increase further,Our childern deserve the same chance of a quality education as any other child in the state.

- We need another primary school near Rhodes. The State Government should not have sold Rhodes School and grounds. It could have been leased out until the numbers of children increased again.

- This local council area has the fastest growing population in the Sydney Basin, yet there has not been any new schools, increase in hospital capacity or other infrastructure. WHY??? Why isn't a new Primary School and High School a top priority for an area that has had a population explosion.

- It would be better if this inappropriate and over developed project doesn't go ahead. The local infrastructure isn't adequate to cope and it will be grotesque having such high rise buildings in a low to medium density community.
