Giving 16 year olds the right to vote

I am wanting the United States Congress to pass an amendment to the Constitution to allow people of 16 years of age or older to be granted the right to vote. This is because people who are 16 years of age have to pay an income tax each year.

    • If at 16 you can get a house, get married and have children then you should be able to have a say in what happens in your country/island etc.

    • Most people by the age of 16, are working and driving a car regularly. Also, the decisions that are made directly affect the youngest gernerations. If teens are to be held responable legally, they should be held responsable as citizens, and given the right to vote.
