Mac was an innocent one year old pedigree golden retriever dog.
He would have had many years ahead in him until October 2006, when he was brutally abused and murdered.
In what was probably one of the most horrific episodes one could witness, poor Mac was hung by his collar, kicked with steel toecap boots, and hit with a boulder which resulted in his death from horrific injuries of the following nature: Severe bruising and swelling to the back, two broken ribs and bleeding to the lungs and brain.
The sicko that killed this defenseless animal, William David Streeter, of Coleraine, only got a six month prison sentence for this horrific murder of a "much loved family pet".
So, in honour of Mac, this website intends to demand longer sentences for people that abuse and murder animals. Murdering a human that in some cases can defend themselves gets you 25 years. Murdering a one year old dog that couldn't defend itself, 6 months. Six months for taking away an innocent dog's life. Its got to change, and NOW.

- I don't think 6 months is long enough for the torture this poor animal went through. I don't think 25 years is long enough, I think this man should be tourtured the same way mac was. I also think he should never be allowed to ever have another animal as long as he lives. There is no reason for a dog to be treated that way and not be able to denfrnd themselves, It's up t us to defend poor Mac. I am heart sick and disgusted to think someone could actually sit there and do that to a creature of god and is helpless. May this man rott in He double hockey sticks, for the rest of his life.

- Violence against any animal is totally unjustifiable. This "man" should have been sentenced as if he had killed a human - though even that sentence isn't long enough. If this country cares about animals, they should make sure that sentences for cruelty offences reflect the revlusion right-minded people have for such crimes.

- It is simply not fair! Justice? There is none! We all have to wake up and see the cruelty before us that Mac endured. Mac was an innocent victim of human cruelty. Mac had feelings just like anyone of us have. Please I beg you, make that monster pay for what he did to poor Mac and make your sentences harsher for the people that abuse our Gifts from God, Mac. Punishment should be equivalent to the abuse of a human! Maybe then "humans" will think before they strike. If anyone out there sees someone neglecting or abusing a dog, cat or any animal that depends on them for food/water/shelter/care, their LIFE please report them immediately!!!. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!
