We the undersigned petition Wandsworth Council NOT to grant a license to Jasmins Bar and Restaurant, of 145 Upper Tooting Road, for the adverse effects (such as increase in crime & disorder, more public nuisance, the protection of children from harm, public safety, vandalism, loitering, theft of vehicles and less parking available for residents) it will have on the local community.

    • Having lived in tooting my entire life, I can cateogrically say that such a propisiton will cause nothing but conflict and unrest within the area. To have a nightclub built adjacent to a school for young children is something that would be considered deplorable in ANY community.

    • I work for the emergency services and another licensed premises, particularly a nightclub underneath a mosque is far from ideal. The local communty does not want to live in terror from drug users and intoxicated individuals and groups. It will increase crime and thus, pressures on the various services.

    • The sanctity of religious place or symbol is someting that is declining from our society. We need to protect the places of wroship be it mosque, church , synagogue or temple. Surely any progressive society would repect that?
