Jon Stewart's show during the Writers Strike, "A Daily Show." was inarguably better, funnier, and overall far more genius than anything his team of writers could ever cook up. The man's intellect and natural comedic wit are undeniable, and THAT is why we love him! Jon is a beacon of ironic hope in a world of media completely bursting at the seams with bullsh*t. He gives Americans the sense that they are not alone in their constant query of "what the f*ck?!" in regards to the nation's politics and international policies, among many other things. He has inadvertently become the voice of conscience of the American public, so frequently overshadowed by the, as Jon has called them, "douchebags" of American popular media today.

The mission of this petition is to persuade Jon Stewart to drastically reduce or completely rid himself of his team of writers and to go back to doing his own material (improvisation encouraged). America wants the Jon back of the original Daily Show and of the "indefinite article" Daily Show displayed during the Writers Strike of 2008.
