KAOS Studios' software title "Frontlines: Fuel of War," released for the PC and XBox 360, has been broken from the day of release and should be recalled.
The complaints include (but are not limited to) the following:
1. The single-player mode is short and mediocre, and it cannot be argued that the game is built around the online play- which for many, many gamers, does not work correctly, and has not since the release date.
2. PC users have had all manner of problems with the installation and running of the program- far more than any game that was adequately quality-tested should have.
3. All users are subject to various gameplay glitches, mostly online but including the single-player game, some of which end the game abruptly and without warning.
4. Despite patches and work on the dedicated servers, the online gameplay is in many cases completely inaccessible and/or faulty to the point of the player being unable to finish a game- if the game that they join ever starts.
Many people paid full price and purchased the game at or near release (as of this writing, the game has been out approximately two and a half weeks), yet haven't been able to play the main reason that they purchased the game. Additionally, very little information regarding fixes have been forthcoming and has been excessively difficult to find for those early adopters.
At least one video game store chain in Europe initiated an informal recall, allowing customers to trade in the game and $10 to receive an alternate title, Army of War. In the United States, EB Games/Gamestop employees received an email stating that there was a problem, but as it was a problem with the game servers and not the software, that customers could not return this nonworking piece of software.
This farce has went on long enough. THQ and KAOS should have initiated a recall in order to preserve customer confidence and loyalty as soon as the problem was known, but they have shown a dazzling lack of integrity in regards to this release.
As such, I petition Microsoft to force them to recall this title as a third-party developer, in order to maintain the level of quality that is expected by consumers and supporters of the XBox 360 console and the various companies that design and publish software for said console.
It is incomprehensible that a company would release a product for such a price that doesn't work properly, and reprehensible that such a faulty product would be allowed to stay on the market without any options given for the cheated consumers.

- I bought this game for $60, thinking that the demo was pretty good and that the bugs would get fixed... now I'm left with a non-working game and an empty pocket. I can't connect to any servers on my xbox.

- After several install attempts...still no go after hours of tinkering on a machine that far surpassses the min requirements and is fully up to date. There is no question that this game should be recalled, and refunds offered.
