We, the Undersigned, ask the Kenmare City Council to remove their ban of Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, and mixes of those breeds.

We believe that breed specific bans do not adequately address the issue of potentially dangerous dogs. Instead, we would like to see a law that punishes the deed, not the breed, making owners responsible for their dog's actions.

If the ban stands, at the very least we ask that dogs of those breeds mentioned above that are already licensed with the City be grandfathered in and allowed to stay.
