Keep Coach Collins at KHS

Involved parents and KHS athletes VS Kingston Teachers Union
Jeramie Collins was recently appointed as the new Head Coach of our beloved Kingston High School Tigers. Most people in our community are very much in favor of this, all except our local teachers union, the KTF. Coach Collins is a local guy with a great track record. He believes in academics first for our athletes while also being very capable of getting KHS back to a winning record. The problem? He is not a mamber of the KTF. Even though he is a member of a teachers union in another area that is not good enough for the KTF. Our athletes want to keep coach Collins and shouldn't their opinion matter most? Please help us stop the KTF from removing coach Collins simply because he is not a KTF member! Their replacement will not only be sub par, but will cost tax payers more money!

    • Coach Collins was selected after an extensive interview process. Why is the union crying foul now? Where is this policy stated in their contract?

    • It is time for the teachers in this district to accept the decision of the interviewing panel and the Board of Education. You were not chosen for the position, so stop hiding behind vague language in your contract. It should be about the players and the program, not personal agenda.
