We, the undersigned, object to the Oakland Zoos development plans for Knowland Park open space as currently configured. We urge the Zoo to modify its plans so that its expansion and development is kept below the ridgeline visible from upper Knowland Park and this spectacular open space is preserved for future generations of people and wildlife to enjoy freely.

Further, we ask that the Knowland Park open space zoning designation be changed from "Special Use" back to it's original designation as an "Open Space Resource Conservation Area" by the Oakland City Council.
