As we approach 2008 and the 25th anniversary of its release, we would like to officially petition director Godfrey Reggio and the producers to please consider remastering Koyaanisqatsi for presentation in the IMAX or IMAX 3-D film format as an anniversary celebration of this timeless, magnificent, visually stunning film. The IMAX format is perfectly suited to the film's incredible visual style, and would maximize the already fantastic experience of seeing Koyaanisqatsi on the big screen.

    • I'm too young (and was born in the wrong country) to have had the chance to see this masterpiece in the cinema, and just seeing it on the small screen blatantly annoys me. I'm an architecture student, and I think Koyaanisqatsi still, after almost 25 years, applies to this world. Brining it back to the main screen would underline the fact that this is a cult film, and something the human race will see as an important object to be able to understant these industrial times, even in hundreds of years.
