On September 17th, 2004, tens of thousands of protestors gathered in South Korea to oppose the abolishment of a security law preventing communism from infiltrating the 38th parallel.
Today, the South Korean government, under the President Roh Moo-Hyun and the Yeul-In-Uri Dang (Uri Party) has been pushing to remove this necessary law from the annals of Korean history in the effort to "open the arms of South Korea with its northern neighbor."
We, the undersigned, declare that the South Korean government is in no position to open its arms to a dangerous threat to the world community and STRONGLY ADVOCATE to President Roh to stop his attempts to allow Communism to push into South Korea. There have been plenty of North Korea spies infiltrating across the border WITH the law in effect, who knows what degree of destruction and chaos can be caused without it?
The National Security law initiated half a century ago is necessary to preserve the Korean peace. Without it, both Koreas will be plunged into turmoil, and we will be in a state of chaos once more.
The Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court claim that it is too early to repeal the law. Listen to the cries of your people, President Roh! The international community is watching your next move.
