  • I think they were the most convincing couple. And the one with the healthiest relationship-Dana's anxieties notwithstanding. I think the writers/creators miscalculated as to which characters/relationships would appeal most to viewers.They seem to have put all their money on the marina triangle but judjing from so many messages on so many different boards it is in fact the relationship of Dana and Lara that has caught everyone's interest.When they were filming didn't the crew and cast recognise how brilliantly these two were clicking? Even if the problem was with Lauren Lee Smith's unwillingness and/or inability to sign on for more episodes I am sure with the overwhelming response that has been generated they can find a way to bring her back for next season. It is becoming a rather cynical and pessimistic show in its portrayal of human nature and relationships. It needs the balance of a more affectionate and innocent relationship even with the conflict about
