Since the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department (LASD) cannot or will not produce a video or photo of Mitrice Richardson exiting the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriffs station on September 17, 2009 as they claim that she did and to publicly prove that the LASD had no involvement in her death outside of releasing her in the middle of the night without her car or other personal belongings, in the interest of integrity and as an act of goodwill towards Mitrices family and the community in which it serves, all LASD personnel who came into contact with Mitrice Richardson at the Malibu-Lost Hills station should agree to and take a lie detector test to be administered by a non-LASD affiliated law enforcement agency such as the FBI or Department of Justice and have the results publicly released.

I will pray for the loved ones and the soul of Mitrice, its tradgic and its scary to think of the power that these law enforcement officials own. I will try the best i can to get signatures for this petition in my area, dont lose faith, the lords will is more powerful than any other. all things done in the dark will one day be brought to light, and GOD dont like ugly, the individuals involved in the missing of Mitrice Richardson cannot hide from GODs wrath

- Why isnt there ever any consequences for law enforcement officials whenever there is a african american involved. in the criminal justice system when there is a black suspect they are immediately tagged guilty and when there is a black victim, law enforcement tries whatever they can to take that black victim and turn them into the criminal, its ashame because these people abuse there power and dont deserve to hold any type of postion that gives them permission to do such inhumane things example, releasing Mitrice after midnight, no phone, no car, no money, and not even a sitation but an arrest. It seems to me it was not about the 89 dollars at all, but more about her race and the fact that she was a beautiful young girl alone and law enforcement knew they could take advantage and take her life without so much as a slap on the wrist for it...How bad we need Johnny Cochran in this America

- something is wrong with this picture. I think the police have a duty to set the record straight. If they are not at fault, then they should have no problem revealing the facts of the case.

- I knew it , I knew it, when I first heard about the body it was Mitrice. I truly beleive this was an inside job. Either the police who picked her up never took her to the staion or when they released her they had the intention on taking her to the hills and raping her. Justice must be done. All of the officers at the station should take a lie detector test and the video and phone records should most definitely be released. The black politicians should step in. Najee Ali isn't around, so where is Eddie Jones?

- My thoughts and prayers go out to Mitrice's parents, family and friends, The Sheriff's Department is absolutely responsible for Mitrice's death. Was it releasing this young woman into the darkness of night, with no car, no money, no cellphone or something more sinister within that sheriff station, We should all demand justice for Mitrice, and make sure nothing like this ever happens again.

- I support this approach. The deputies who responded to Bill Smith's early morning call September 17 should be included. Why did they take so long to respond? Where were they?

- A young woman lost her life and a family lost their loved one. Nothing will change those facts. But a lie detector test may reveal some much-needed information that can place Mitrice's family on the road to recovery and, if foul play is discovered, potentially save someone else's life.

- If there is no foul play then the officers would not mind taking a lie detector test . This would let the community know the officers had no involvement.

- Im Seventy-nine years old and this reminds me of the South . It's truly sad that this tragedy is happening now . Please take the test and prove that these officers had no involvement. This young lady did not go here alone , they were wrong when they allowed her to leave without anything. Would they have allowed that Lohan woman to leave unescorted? Let's show the Sherrifs and the world we love our black children too!

- The Los Angeles Sheriffs have proven themselves time & time again that they are full of cover-ups and corruption. This case truly shows us how much they care about the ones they are supposed to protect & serve!
