    • I agree that marijuana should be able to used for medical purposes. While its not an option I would choose for myself, I know that there are millions who rely on it as a form of pain management.

    • I personally feel that the only reason the government refuses to legalize marijuana is because they make too much $$ by keeping it illegal. I don't think there is anything wrong with Marijuana... for medical or recreational purposes... and I DO NOT think that it is a stepping stone to other drugs!

    • Let's get rid of the last-minute tag-on to the Prohibition. It's only thought of as bad because it's illegal.

    • I feel the only reason that drugs are illegal is because of the racism in the days they were made. It doesn't have those connotations now, Now, they're all under the guise of "protecting your health". I guess the government may or may not realize that if they subsidized marijuana production, there would be less crime (less to no dealers, people wouldn't have to steal to get money for it because they wouldn't be subject to drug screens and would therefore be able to get a job, etc.) Not only that, but the government would be making much more money and be able to lower taxes while keeping the same budget. Don't delude yourself thinkign the government keeps it illegal because it's bad for you. If that were true, they'd have banned cigarettes, kept alcohol banned, and banned greasy fast food. It just makes sense. You win, We win. We all win.

    • cures physical and mental pain. marijuana opens up your mind, and gives you more of a optimistic outlook. The thought that marijuana is linked to crime is invalid, marijuana does not have a mind of its own.

    • Marijuana is legal in Amsterdam (I know because I was just there), and Amsterdam currently has the lowest rate of drug abuse than any other country. That is good enough reason for me.
