Lucy Lawless' "Warrior Women" TV Series

I/We, the undersigned, request Discovery Communications INC, and all its subsidiaries (i.e. Discovery Channel, the Learning Channel, etc.) to present the series Warrior Women, hosted by famous Lucy Lawless. This series has already premiered in Canada, Italy, Britain, and the U.K., but has never broadcasted in the United States. We ask the Discovery Channel to provide the people in TV land, (not to mention, the huge array of Xena: Warrior Princess fans), the chance to learn more about women warriors & leaders from our world's history. Because Lucy Lawless has gained such recognition from her syndicated TV show, Xena Warrior Princess, more people around the world are interested in learning about these, and other different women from history. These women have achieved greatness in their very short lives, and we feel it is our duty to let other people know of their full potential. This show would be of interest to all people, of all ages, and of all religions. Discovery Channel would be doing the United States an incalculable display of goodwill by showing that man was not the only major figure in history.
We implore your help, Discovery Communications. Please fulfill this obligation to the people of America.

    • As a person who enjoys hearing about historical peoples & places, I was thrilled to hear that Lucy Lawless who played the ultimate female warrior would be hosting this wonderful program only to be disappointed to find that it wouldn't be shown in the U.S. I think "Warrior Women" would be a wonderful program for all to see...it's not often we get to hear about the female warriors in our history and I for one would love to hear their stories.

    • I think they should make warrior women into a tv show on discovery and all(make it world wide), i think its great to know that in the past there were some women out there who cared on how they were being treeted , like the amazons for ex a strong and noble race . i know that todays ppl will injoy watching somthing with sutch power . the past holds many things and can unlock a world of secrets we have tryed almost every door . and yet they misseed one , the door on the strongest women , the ones with the least bit of information , the hardest to find, the real truth behind true women. i belieave with hard work and dedication we can open a open a hole new world full of understanding for the future . we can understand our path through the women who survived and conquerd in legends and history . ..Lucy LAWLESS ROCKS!     • I was disappointed because I thought I had missed Lucy but then I realized that it never aired and then I was just angry. Now it still hasn't aired and I along with many others are determined to get it on at a reasonable time. Not at the crack of dawn of the late midnight hours even though i would stay up to watch it either way.

    • Please understand. There is a growing population of men, women and children who are hungry for women's history. Since this series has been shown in other countries and not in our own, what is that saying about censorship and freedom of choice in a country that brags of it but goes out of it's way to trample all over it. Be brave. Be different.
