This petition is to ask the writers of Lost to keep Claire away from a relationship with Charlie for the time being. Charlie has yet to redeem himself for his shockingly selfish, brutal actions both against Claire and Aaron and the Losties' community as a whole.

The kiss from the finale was just all a bad dream since I am sure Claire remembers his grossly inappropriate and frighteningly horrific actions from a week ago, "Lost" time. The alternative would destroy Claire's character both as a protective mother and strong, independent young woman; and as fans we feel we need to do something to prevent her character from thorough assassination.

- The Charlie and Claire kiss was completely out of character for Claire, and unrealistic as a whole. Claire is much smarter than that, and to have forgiven and forgotten within a week's time that Charlie not only lied to her, but took her baby TWICE, is nothing short of ruining the Claire we've come to love. If this is not a dream or hallucination of some type, I highly doubt I'll be back to watch Season 3 of Lost.

- It just didn't seem right to build up the story that she is scared and then just in a split second she could forgive him. It hurt the way people see her character. And it made it seem like she was with him just because he gave her vaccine. From hate to a kiss?

- Even though the time of the episodes that were aired, have been months, in Lost time it was a week since Charlie took off running with Claire's baby. In reality, a new Mother would not trust someone who has been doing drugs, and then tries to steal their baby, because he feels that he has to save it. What kind of Mother would kiss a person after having her baby's life endangered? It's completely unrealistic. Just become some fangirls want to see Charlie and Claire kiss, does not mean it has to happen. And the kiss could hardly be considered believable because it is unrealistic and nobody would do it, even if they were under the circumstances that Claire was under. Also it is very disappointing to have a few scenes where Locke cares for Claire and obviously the same for Claire, seeing that she did want him around, and for it to be taken away. And if the case that Locke may be gone for good, there are other people on the island that would care for her just the same. Instead of some drug-using, midget loser.

- I've been a fan of lost ever since the first season. I've watched the characters bleed together, sleep together (more then once) and die together. Although, they are your characters to mend and bend to your will, (as a writer, I respect that in you) however... I ask you to think how Claire would feel over again, and please, please, make her rethink what she's about to get herself into. Oh. And hook Rose up with Sawyer, or something. He looked so depressed when he found out she had a man...
