We must fight the injustice of same sex marriage discrimination in Maine. It is a violation of the civil rights of gays and lesbians everywhere, and we cant let closed minded people get away with this. Love is beautiful, not matter if you are straight or gay. Allowing gays to marry will not cause the destruction of mankind, it will not undermine or destroy families, it will not make people gay, it will not hurt you in any form whatsoever. The only thing it will do is make two people of the same sex marry eachother, nothing more. America is supposed to be a free country, please keep it that way.

- Denying anyone the right to choose whom they wish to marry is directly violating the Consitution which tells us that all American citizens have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Denying anyone the ability to have an official marriage is a disturbing over-stepping of political boundries. What right does anyone have to tell someone else that they can not marry someone they love? How long are we going to throw stones at our neighbors because they are different from us? I am not gay, but I certainly do not believe that that fact makes me better than anyone who is. Everyone should have the right to marry the person they love, regardless of what sex they are.
