Dear Mr. Wallace,

We, the people of Lancaster, are appalled by what is happening in Lebanon and Gaza. In the past month, over 900 people have been killed. Lebanon has been reduced to rubble, over 500,000 of its citizens have been expelled from their homes, and those unable to flee are isolated. Aid agencies cannot reach them nor those trapped in Gaza. The scale of the attacks on Lebanon could constitute war crimes according to senior UN spokesmen. In both Gaza and Lebanon, power stations have been hit, leaving millions of people without electricity, running water or sewage facilities. Considering this, to our deep dismay, our own Prime Minister has refused to either condemn such actions or use his diplomatic powers to call for a ceasefire. What is worse are the reports that not only is Britain guilty of silence but of active participation in the supply of weapons to Israel!!!!

We urge you to take a stand and support any motions that call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in both Lebanon and Gaza.
