We, The Undersigned, wholly appreciate all the upgrades that Yamaha Corporation has made to it's wonderful Pacifica line of electric guitars, recently. From entry level, right up to high-end, we believe that every model of the Pacifica is at the apex of it's specific price-range, in terms of quality and value. We believe the recent upgrades to the 112V, 412V, 612V, and 812V models of Pacifica have been very worthy upgrades indeed, and continue to further the Pacifica family of Yamaha instruments, reaffirming it as a guitar to be reckoned with.
However, there is one thing we miss from the old model- the maple fretboard option. We don't believe the lack of the maple fretboard option to be a deal-breaker, or 'ruin' the guitar in anyway. It's just that some of us simply prefer maple fretboards, for their feel, tone, and/or look. We understand that you've worked very hard on the Pacifica range, and we thank you for that. The new Pacificas are excellent guitars. We simply wish that you would bring back the maple fretboard option. We feel that this is not an unreasonable request, and is easily within your power to grant.
