We the people of Maryland hereby petition the Maryland Legislature to amend Maryland Code 18-219(2) with the following language; No city, County, or state authority shall restrict or prohibit the ownership of dogs based solely upon the basis of breed, or by physical description. No breed of dog, or mixed breed of dog is inherently dangerous.

    • Go after the irresponsible owners and leave the responsable owners alone. The only reason why you want to ban pitbulls is because of all the negative things you hear about them. Go visit someone who has a puppy and see that their not born aggressive. Get the information on this breed and all they want to do is please their owners. Like everyone else will tell you its all about how you raise them. I have 3 pitbulls myself and they are fine with my 8yr old son.
