We, the undersigned,
Noting the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, and the destabilisation of Pakistan arising from the NATO military intervention in the region and believing that only the Afghan people themselves can generate a political solution to their countrys problems, therefore demand that the government commence the withdrawal of all British military forces from Afghanistan.

    • Actually, it's Tony Blair who needs to be tried for war crimes, both for Iraq (dossier) and Afghanistan (Geneva Convention). Gordon just needs to bring the troops home and find a way to support Afghanistan's volatile infrastructure. You'll never get rid of corruption while the Afghan police are paid $100/month.

    • They use illegal distribution agreements to get drugs into this country from the end product of poppy growing - diplomacy is needed to change the crop to biofuels thereby ensuring legitimate distribution agreements and a proper infrastructure for Afghanistan. Peace keeping duties is wholly different from warfare. Why are we in Afghanistan, when Sudan and Zimbabwee are just as serious an issue and appear ignored on humanitarian grounds of displaced peoples. The War on Drugs should be dealt with by the soldiers assisting civilian police force back here in the UK - where there is a will there is a way.
