We the Undersigned would like to see the revival of Next Generation Magazine, the most poignant video game magazine in digital history.
Imagine Media, now Future Network USA, at one time parented many different magazines, but are now down to just a few of their more mediocre ones. While the pioneering Next Generation blew smoke in the face of biased journalism, Imagine Media's other creations, and "successful ones" such as PSM and OXM succumbed to the fate of every single platform publication, a rating system from the scale of 8-10 and the promise that their first party could do no wrong.
Next Gen was the magazine that every other magazine should be molded after, the type of magazine that could save hardcore gamers from mass market game publications, multiconsole owners from bias, and everyone else from poor journalism and overused one liners. In an age where digital media is diminishing the value of the written word, monthly magazines need to offer something of great value, and Next Gen did just that.
Please consider publishing Next Gen Magazine with the same goals, ideals, and hopefully authors as its former self for the good of the video game public.

- Good articles, insight into the industry other mags lack. Next Gen was just good product.

- In an age where every gaming magazine trotted out the same garbage (you know the kind: splashy pictures, "witty" information about the staff's lives, and what have you), a well-researched and maturely presented publication like Next Generation is deserving of at least a toast...and a continuing existance.

- Lets see some real game journalism, not just fanboys who were lucky enough to wander into the EGM office.

- the only thought provoking adult orientated video game magazine. with all the pointless dribble out there this has potential to have staying power for a powerful/rich industry.

- NG made me realize how starved the industry is for decent, honest-to-god journalism. I am posting a link to this webpage at my site (general-interest.com) to get this petition going.

- I miss Next Gen. Great magazine. Please simply rely on your professional output, not on exclusives or anything ... in other words, invest in the future of the mag, not today!!!

- When I was into gaming, Next Generation was the best magazine that I found. It delved into the corporate and development side of gaming, and I enjoyed that. It made me feel like a sophisticated gamer...
