Please create a government agency that is solely charged with the following mission statement (adapted from NASA's mission statement):

To advance and communicate scientific knowledge and understanding of the earth and its inhabitants.
To improve life on our planet.
To research, develop, verify and transfer advanced technologies and social innovations.

The creation of NASA was an investment in America's future that has focused mainly on frontiers in air and space. NASA was a great success.

It is now time to invest in the people inhabiting our beautiful planet.
