We the undersigned people of the Orkney Isles and their supporters,
Want to see the proposed new byelaw that prohibits the drinking of alcohol in public places is totally removed from proposed legislature. Because we believe that there will be detrimental effects to our freedoms and lifestyle as a separate culture if it is allowed to pass.
We want to make sure that the legislative body is aware of the strength of feeling in the islands about this proposal. We submit this to the relevant government bodies for their perusal and support.

- Where is choice in all of this? Utterly disgusting and all that will happen is that you will push those wishing to drink into family areas!
