User fees. Those two words easily send chills down an aviator's spine. We American pilots know that the idea of charging us for ATC service is completely ridiculous, but we need to speak up and out. Though many GA organizations are actively working to destroy the very thought of user fees, they still need our help. And our help we shall give. By signing this petition and including any comments in which you see fit, you strongly disagree to user fees and wish to have your voice heard.

- User fees are not the answer. It will drastically hurt the GA population and require us to carry a burden which clearly is not ours to bear as we currently pay our fair share of the costs especially for the percentage of use we use compared to commercial airlines

- User fees will destroy private aviation, including medical mercy flights and disaster relief flights in this nation as surely as they have in every nation that has adopted them, all to turn control of our airspace over to a bankrupt airline industry. I vote, and I'm watching this debate. I'll remember in '08.

- I'm sure I am not the first to point this out, but if GA gets slapped with user fees, this is going to drive up the cost of getting our ratings and if we have to pay twice as much to learn to fly, the industry is going to be screwed when they are facing a qualified pilot shortage.

- Aviation has already been made too expensive by excessive insurance and fuel costs, this is too much. If the FAA wants to cut costs, perhaps they should start by cutting the fat and removing unpopular navigation systems and fire a few FAA beauracrats who do nothing more than complicate aviation regulations.

- GA User Fees will completely destroy the freedom and affordability to fly in America, which trains and produces the most pilots, not to mention the safest in the world. Don't change it!

- We as fellow Americans need the safety and security that comes from our government instead of someone who owns or even runs a private company looking at cutting their own costs while cutting the safety factor for pilots who choose to fly their own plane. How would you feel if some private industry such as a trucking company decided how to implement user fees for our nations roads? We can all be sure that we would have a greater cost of driving our Lexus on the interstate. User fees would not and are not appropriate in America. If we are striving for anything in GA we should be striving for MORE SAFE ways to fly in and above our country and our neighbors.

- User fees will be useless when there are no users. Oh and all the mechanics, aircraft assemblers, sales personal, flight instuctors and parts companies wont be affected either. I had an ATC guy tell me that GA activitie was down becasue gas has gone up. Just imagine user fees. Little airports will dry up and there will be communities suffering from revenue loss. All of the jobs lost will result in unemplyment output and loss of tax dollars for local, state and federal government. It is not the will of the people to have user fees.

- I strongly oppose user fees for GA as well as excessive fuel tax. I frequently fly commercial aviation and experience delays 40\% of the time. All delays are due to equipment, crew availability and weather. The reasons stated are from the pilots or airline representatives. I never see us yeilding to a small bus jet or small piston aircraft at the busy airports these commercial flights typically fly to and from. I plan to pilot myself, in my own aircraft, for business travel within 4 hrs of my home base to avoid the security lines and give myself more schedule flexibility. I will still use commercial aviation for longer flights and when weather prevents me from flying my own plane. I resent the tactics used by the airlines that suggest that GA is the cause for the delays experienced by travelers and will only use Delta for future travel as last resort due their tactics.
