Dear Hollywood; Martin Scorcese, Sam Mendes, and Harrison Ford to name a few of you.
We are appalled and dismayed by those of you who have signed your name in support of Roman Polanski, a fugitive from the law who has plead guilty to having sex with a 13 year old girl.
The signing of this petition is a deplorable act and does a huge disservice to victims of rape, children, women, men, society, and your fans. Being a celebrity does not entitle you to violate a child. Being rich and powerful does not make you above the law. Being a great artist does not make you above the law. Living through great hardship does not make you above the law. No one is above the law.

    • Every one of you people who signed the petition to release Polanski will not benefit from my money ever again. Any of your films I own shall be given away or thrown in the trash. Yes, Natalie Portman, "Little Miss Intelligent" signed the petition. I'm not impressed, Harvard Grad! But when you're the one who's comparing eating meat to rape, I guess I shouldn't be surprised by your warped way of so-called thinking. Maybe one day if you ever have a daughter and she's raped, God-forbid, you'll sign a petition for the scum who did it to be released too! Oh, by the way, Hollwyood, there are a lot of other child rapists who I'm sure have petitions to be released. Why don't you sign those, too?!!!
