We would like to suggest that you establish certain times and guidelines regarding when children under a certain age are allowed in your theaters. I understand the standard ratings for each movie; however, I think that in the
interest of the enjoyment of all, your respective companies should opt to provide times when we know that we can attend a movie without a rude person bringing a child that is too small to understand or appreciate the movie being shown.

On behalf of childfree patrons and also on behalf of people regardless of their familial status who would like to enjoy a movie without the constant distraction that small children can bring to a movie. Nowadays, it seems that people have lost all sense of etiquette and respect for others, and don't realize that the proper thing to do when your child creates a distraction is to remove him or her from the environment.

Some people who have children want to have everything. They want to enjoy their lives as if nothing has changed. That includes taking children aged 6 and 4 to see "Me, Myself and Irene", an R-rated movie with highly offensive language. It also includes those who drag infants to movies and the disruption that it can cause when the infant becomes fussy. It also includes those who take children to see movies which are geared toward adults, movies which the child does not even care to watch. These children tend to talk
loudly (or cry), purposely make noise with their seats, and run back and forth to the restroom or concession stand numerous times. These activities detract from others' enjoyment of the movie.

We would like to see your respective companies establish perhaps the last movie of the night as a movie where, for example, only persons over 12
are allowed, especially if it is one that is rated PG-13 or R. People who do not wish to deal with confrontations with other people's disruptive children (which often occur) would be insured of a peaceful environment in which to watch a movie. Patrons who are similarly situated as I am would appreciate these guidelines. If these sort of guidelines are not established, patrons will soon be forced to wait for a movie's release on video, causing lost
revenue to you.

Thank you for your time and consideration. We await your response.

    • I'd like to a policy implemented that children under 12 cannot attend films, especially those with PG-13 or R ratings, with start times after 9:30 p.m. Children of those ages should be in bed by then.

    • I know I am still a child myself (I was born on August 28th, 1985), but I have known for a long time that I do not ever want children. When I was a small child, smaller children got on my nerves. Over the years, I find more and more reasons to remain childfree. I look forward to a child-free adulthood. I am happy that someone would suggest a petition such as this one; nothing spoils a good movie like a misbehaving brat.
    • How many children do you have?
    • Zero, and that number will remain unchanged forever.I wish people would open up their minds and understand that parenthood isn't for everyone!
