We the Citizens of Texas, oppose legislation that would take the practice of Acupuncture away from Doctors of Chiropractic in Texas. We oppose the fact that such a bill as Senate Bill 1314 (SB 1314) passed the Texas Senate, and STRONGLY OPPOSE the passage of any similar legislation in the Texas House of Representatives. We want properly trained Doctors of Chiropractic to continue having the Practice of Acupuncture within their scope of practice, as it has been for some time now. We want to send a message to legislators, to the Texas Medical Board, and the Texas Medical Association to Cease and Desist your ongoing efforts to attack Chiropractic in Texas and to rob Doctors of Chiropractic of their scope of practice. Chiropractic Doctors help the citizens of Texas.

- TBCE is our regulatory board and acupuncture is within our scope. The status quo has been safe and effective for years. Why the change now?

- Please think of all of us who will no longer be able to reap the benefits of acupuncture if you pass this bill due to the loss of a trusted provider, location, time and other constraints.
