New York City Council Members Jessica Lappin and Karen Koslowitz have introduced a bill that would create special penalties for food truck vendors who park illegally on the street. If the new law is passed, the Department of Health would have the authority to suspend a vending permit if a vendor receives 2 parking tickets within a 12 month period, or revoke a vending permit entirely if a vendor receives 3 parking tickets within a 12 month period.

ALL VENDORS AND FOOD TRUCK SUPPORTERS MUST TAKE ACTION TO STOP THIS BILL FROM PASSING OR VENDORS WILL BE FORCED OUT OF BUSINESS.

As long as they're paying their parking tickets what does it matter, the city is still getting their money and we get to continue to enjoy all the wonderful & different food options from the food trucks that grace us with their presence every day - rain, snow, hail, sleet or shine!
