We, the undersigned, acknowledge that the territory of Dokdo islets in the East Sea has been a matter of much debate between the countries of Korea and Japan for numerous years. We have witnessed many online encyclopedias and other informational sources change the name of the Dokdo islets to "Liancourt Rocks." We firmly assert that the correct name of these islets is, has always been, and will always be "Dokdo." We also realize that the Library of Congress is the largest library in the world and has much influence on other informational sources. Thus, we ask the U.S. Library of Congress to kindly refrain from changing the name to "Liancourt Rocks."

- Dokdo has been Korean territory for centuries, it is recorded in several historical documents showing DokDo as a korean island and so by changing the name of Dokdo you are not forcing a nation to disown its own heritage but also changing history. Please reconsider changing the name, a nations heart goes out to this island.

- Would you change the name of your child because someone who has nothing to do with you told you to do so? same with Dokdo.

- Don't know where Japan is coming from in all of this, don't know what their point is or what they are trying to achieve by acting like it's the 1940s again
