We the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania call for a complete moratorium of all natural gas and oil drilling activities, including exploration, until a time when the processes involved do not affect the environment (including land, air and water) and the health of the population in any negative manner what so ever.

    • EPA is currently conducting a study to determine if marcellus shale gas drilling is harmful, shouldn't there be a moratorium at least until the study has a conclusion?If anything would go wrong in the drilling process, which we all know is a real possibility, it would be devastating to families and to the larger community who now benefit from the crops produced on these farms The water issue is not the only danger, there are diesel fumes, vocs and fumes from the compressors and frac pond etc It is not right to put a community at risk. I believe those you represent are being taken advantage of by the gas companies. Please , it is urgent, do whatever you can do to initiate a moratorium on marcellus gas drilling in PA, the most important thing you may ever do
