We the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania call for a complete moratorium of all natural gas and oil drilling activities, including exploration, until a time when the processes involved do not affect the environment (including land, air and water) and the health of the population in any negative manner what so ever.

- There is absolutely no good reason to conduct Hydraulic Fracturing for the purpose of harvesting natural gas. The negative environmental impact is so monumental that the only reason I can think of that this would be approved in PA is that our politicians campaign coffers are being filled by the gas companies. it's wrong for PA. It's wrong for the planet.

- No gas = inconvenience, polluted water = death! It's not rocket science. The solution to our energy problems cannot be at the expense of our most valuable resources - water, air, land, wildlife - all of which are required for life to flourish. The energy companies extensive $$$ gains here will only lead to the loss of quality of life for us all. Shame on our politicians for being so short sighted and allowing these companies to destroy our beautiful communities, all without any sense of responsibility or accountability. It seems our democracy has been hijacked by greed.

- I do not believe the fracking for gas is dafe because of all the proven accidents, poisoning of water, earthquakes.I also do not believe in the inflated numbers for employment because I have seen all the out of state plates where I live and do not know of anyone from here who works for them .I also do not believe they work according to OSHA requirements and are a danger for workers as has also been proven by injuries and deaths to workers on sites. And truck traffic will cause more deaths as they fly recklessly down Pa roads.I have almost been hit by them everytime I vist friends in the Lenox township area,Widening the roads the little bit they did has not helped.

- check out "white nose syndrome". The dumping of chemicals into the wells may be causing the decline in the bat populations, there is a definate connection.

- There have been many dangerous spills on the land, purposeful dumping into watersheds in PA and many leaks as well as purposeful venting of EXCESS methane, at many sites. Hydrofracking is an extreme measure to get at natural gas---and will have extreme impacts on public health and the environment, some of which have already shown up, many health impacts are surely to follow as the cumulative impact takes its toll. Please support public health and the environment and place a moratorium on hydrofracking in Pennsylvania.

- I can't believe that we are allowing pollution of our drinking water, land and air to continue unabated. Please stop ruining our environment. Think about the health of our children and future generations.

- I'm sorry that PA has been the fracking guinea pig on the East Coast. It's time it stopped. Thank you.

- There are a laundry list of concerns about natural gas drilling in Pennsylvania, from environmental and health related issues to financial ones. It is my belief that a cost/benefit analysis of such drilling will show the expenses paid in human and wildlife health, in repairing environmental damages (the ones that are repairable) and damage to personal property, will exceed the dubious monetary gain. The gain the commonwealth is likely to observe will be wiped out by the costs, while a few executives get rich securitizing reserves we are not even sure of. Furthermore, one cannot put a price on human and animal welfare, and with a laundry list of hazardous chemicals and known issues with well casings and methane migration, we are creating an environment that is hazardous to all life that dwells near by. The hazards are not local, as methane is a more efficient greenhouse gas than carbon, and the process of drilling emits both into the atmosphere without having to adhere to even the modest considerations of the clean air act. A moratorium is the only answer.

- As native of Pennsylvania I am appauled to learn how our natural world has been plundered, and our water contaminated. A new governor is needed, who has better regard for our natural world. In fact all leaders need to pass this test. Our US constitution needs to include the rights of nature, and the rights of all living being to have a healthy environment.

- I used to live in northeastern PA, and some of the best moments of my life were spent in the outdoors there, bicycling, and kayaking on the Delaware. It would be a tragedy for my daughter and granddaughters not to be able to enjoy that environment as I did.
