In 1971, oppressing Pakistani military in Bangladesh committed one of the most heinous crimes against humanity in the history of mankind. Three million Bengalis were killed in their hand. Genocide done by Pakistani army and their collaborating paramilitary groups were well planned and organized. They murdered numerous Bengali youths by suspecting them as freedom fighters, killed Bengali intellectuals, teachers, writers and officials and murdered numerous innocent villagers and common people when killing became a habit to them like smoking cigarettes.Bengali women were targeted for gender-selective atrocities and abuses, notably gang sexual assault and rape/murder, from the earliest days of the Pakistani genocide. Indeed, despite (and in part because of) the overwhelming targeting of males for mass murder, it is for the systematic brutalization of women that the "Rape of Bangladesh" is best known to western observers.In her ground-breaking book, Against Our Will: Men, Women and Rape, Susan Brownmiller likened the 1971 events in Bangladesh to the Japanese rapes in Nanjing and German rapes in Russia during World War II. "... 200,000, 300,000 or possibly 400,000 women (three sets of statistics have been variously quoted) were raped. Eighty percent of the raped women were Moslems, reflecting the population of Bangladesh, but Hindu and Christian women were not exempt. ... Hit-and-run rape of large numbers of Bengali women was brutally simple in terms of logistics as the Pakistani regulars swept through and occupied the tiny, populous land ..." (p. 81).

After so many years of 2nd world war, Germany officially apologized for their role in 2nd world war to the Nazi oppressed countries during the war. Nazi war criminals had to face their trial just after the war. But well known Pakistani war criminals never had to face any trial for their crime against humanity and nor did the Pakistani government ever apologized to Bangladesh. Its true that an official apology will not undone those crimes against humanity in 1971, but its necessary to show some respect to those innocent victims of war and to maintain a peaceful diplomatic relationship among Bangladesh and Pakistan. We also believe that Pakistani war criminals, which are still alive, should be brought under trial.
We, here by demand that,

- War criminals, which are still alive, should be brought under trial.
