We the citizens of Martin County are opposed to current proposal to locate the new Constitutional Office complex on the property that is currently Sailfish Park. The loss of this Baseball complex will negatively impact the community at large, and we urge our elected officials not support any legislation or motion to close the Sailfish Park facility.

    • Sailfish Park Baseball fields have been around for many years serving the needs of children throughout Martin County. It would be a crime to take this away from the children. Look for another place for an office.

    • Please keep Sailfish Park recreational enabling the "Future of Martin County" to continue to enjoy baseball and softball at these fields. Sailfish Park was the first athletic complex we visited when we moved here six years ago. Our daughters started playing MCN Softball under the coaching of Larry Green and Billy Kenny. Both of our daughters have gone on to excel as softball players on Martin County High School.

    • The City of Stuart can look at the sale of Sailfish Park as a PLACE to make the City more money, but we the Sailfish Park Baseball, Softball and Challenger families look at it as a PLACE to save young lives. Apparently, the City has figured out a way to calculate the worth of our childrens' lives.
