  • The reforms planned as usual are going ahead without REAL consultation and the bureaucrats who do not live here nor have any investment seem to be driving a policy decision which will adversely affect BOTH business and residents. The only positive is that these two groups are finally united in a single position. We need all the parking that is available. The city can moderate its use by placing meters on de la commune and working in earnest with the Crown Old Port Corporation and others to secure alternate trams services in lieu of a bus route.

  • Veuillez noter que je suis contre l'йlimination du stationnement sur la rue de la Commune, l'idйe йtant absolument farfelue. Le transport en commun est а deux pas du Vieux-Port. Je ne vois donc pas la nйcessitй d'abolir le stationnement. Je suis d'avis qu'un effort accru pour nettoyer la ville et rиglementer les calиches serait plus appropriй.

  • i bought a laser pointer to get the attention of large tourbus drivers who ALWAYS leave their engines running, polluting both with noise (and window vibrations) and exhaust...WHY there is not a "no idling" law like most other cities is beyond me, now they want to allow MORE busses?

  • A trop vouloir favoriser l'accиs par autobus, vйlo et а pied, en limitant de faзon exagйrйe l'accиs aux automobiles (sans compter les multiples rues bloquйes et/ou engorgйes par la construction/rйfaction), il devient trиs pйnible pour les rйsidents et visiteurs de vivre/visiter le Vieux-Montrйal. En interdisant l'accиs aux vйhicules sur De La Commune, on ne peut que totalement engorger la balance du systиme routier dans le Vieux-Montrйal.
