We, the undersigned citizens of the United States of America hereby make demand of our government that they fulfill the obligation set forth for them in our Declaration of Independence so long ago.
Our founders listed three rights as being among those "governments are instituted among men to protect," LIFE is the first of those rights and we believe that it is immoral to deny that right to any citizen to safeguard the profits of another. We believe that it is imperative that our government join those of the other developed nations of the world in recognizing and safeguarding that right.
We demand that a public health access program be instituted immediately that denies no citizen protection of life through medical services. If profit driven institutions can be created that serve that purpose and increase it's efficiency they should be encouraged to do so, but the obligation to protect life assigned to our government by our founders is paramount to our belief in human rights and human dignity. To allow a precedent of profit and death to over-ride the clear morality of compassion toward our fellow man is unacceptable in our modern world.

    • This total disregard for the lives of the American people needs to stop now, you finance and pay for wars(death) but refuse to pay for life(public option) and that is dispicable and disgusting on the part of you the elected officials we voted for to protect the interest of the people, we dont want any triggers or opt outs in the medical bill because that only caters to the insurance companies that kill us that their whim because you refuse to make them abide by anti-trust laws, and we the people will vote out any and all Senators against this public option bill

    • This is a rich country the world still looks up to.Still how can we explain that we practice class segregation when it comes to health care reserved to the rich? A public option please.
