We the undersigned demand that the policy of FORCING sellers to offer PayPal as a payment option be dropped immediately.
It clearly states in the original notice to the A.C.C.C. that the PayPal only policy consisted of TWO stages and that if the policy was knocked back by the A.C.C.C. then stage one of the changes would be dropped as well as stage two.
Since ebay has dropped plans to implement stage two of these changes, we feel that it is only right that ebay remove stage one of the changes as well.
It is GROSSLY UNFAIR that SELLERS are being still being denied their basic right to not offer PayPal as a payment option, were buyers still have the CHOICE as to whether or not they want to even pay by PayPal
Both SELLERS & BUYERS deserve to have the same CHOICES when it comes to payment options.
And that is why we feel that anything less than the removal of the compulsory offering of PayPal by sellers is simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

- Sellers should be able to refuse Paypal payment because it costs THEM money, and on top of that eBay forbids sellers to state in their listings that they prefer other payment methods than Paypal. However, one IS allowed to state that Paypal is the preferred payment method. Ebay, how pathetic can you get?

- I agree with this petition. And as long as PayPal REFUSE to sign the australian EFT Code of Conduct we must assume THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE.

- Ebay insists that PayPal must be offered and accepted for local pick up items, but then there will be no protection for the seller whatsoever when the buyer has picked up the item and then claims he hasn't received it. Even eBay-employees think this policy stinks. Look at the comment 'elton@ebay.com' made in post #57 of this UK thread (http://forums.ebay.co.uk/thread.jspa?threadID=1100161887&start=57): "In general, I totally acknowledge the fact that eBay's new policy really stinks for local pickup items. I wish I had a great response, but I don't. If you want to sell local pickup, please keep in mind that there's no way to be protected from chargebacks"

- Why shouldn't I have the right to only offer my bank account and other payment methods such as money order and bank cheque as payment methods. It has worked well since eBay began and if it ain't broke don't fix it is my motto. eBay has taken away my rights as to the way I conduct my eBay selling and I DEMMAND that they be reinstated.
